It's the First Day of School!

It's official. I have a second-grader and a kindergartner! The girls were so excited. Caitlin wanted to sleep in her dress last night, and I thought they were never going to fall asleep. It felt like Christmas Eve around our house!

After a yummy pancake breakfast and a last-minute check of the lunchboxes and backpacks, we walked to school. Caroline was the first in her class to arrive, and I got to meet her teacher. She's a Red Sox fan, so I think it's going to be a good year. Caitlin had been really talkative up until I dropped her off at her room. All the kindergarten classes were lining up in the hallway. I guess they were going to all walk into their rooms together. Anyway, she was really quiet when I said goodbye, but she didn't seem upset or scared. I'm sure she'll have lots to report on when she comes home.

Needn't ask me twice to check on someone's blog! I'm a bit of computer geek too on stuff like this. I think I can help you out on some recipes, which I will share slowly, so as not to dump them all on you at once. I've got a really cheesy mix on iTunes that if I can figure out how to direct you there, I will. Books on the other hand, I haven't been able to complete a single book in what seems like 10 years...I'm really hoping it hasn't been that long, but it very well could be. I think I may revert to Archie, Jughead, Betty and Veronica, and see if I can keep up with that, you know, follow the plot, dialog, characters, etc., but I'm not holding my breath. I am, however, current on all things Paris, Britney and Lindsey, thanks to People.

Seriously, it has been nice reading all your posts to catch up! The kids are beautiful (even through stories of throwingup!) and you look great! I know I was at your wedding, but wouldn't have recognized Rob if I fell over him nekid on a tobogan! More later, MC!
