New Season

Hey there.  We are working on finding our groove this summer.  We in that stage where the children are too young to be left home alone, but they sure don't want to go the the grocery store with me.
We've been making lots of library trips.  Many drop-offs and pick-ups for playdates.  Many games of chess.
 Haven't made cookies yet.
One sleep-over.  That has resulted in a sleep-over moratorium.  And I'm fine with that.
We're (reluctantly) doing what we call Math Olympics.
And there is knitting.  Pictures soon, I promise!

One week down and we're trying to settle into summer as well. Looks like we're doing similar activities (without the sleep overs). We've not had good experience with them either. Happy Summer!!

Great capture of the worker bee. No sleepovers around here - my kiddos love to sleep alone with the door closed so they don't even ask. My kiddos don't mind the grocery store - especially if i agree to a box of krispy Kreme doughnuts!

We are about five weeks in, and we have about 6 more weeks of summer. It feels like it is flying by! We are good then hit a blah spot like this week. Hopefully after we do a bit of traveling next week we can groove it out with a lot of swimming and laziness until school starts!! And yes, we are in that same age range. I could leave my oldest, and maybe Hannah with, but add James in the mix and there's no way I am leaving that crew at home! Grocery shopping is a pain. I try to do it when hubs is home.

It will get better....Grocery shopping isn't as bad when you don't have kids in tow. Of course, these days they arm me with lists of all kinds of stuff they need (want?). Hats off to you for trying to integrate a little learning into your summer.
