Today is the last day of school. And it's a half-day. The kids are pumped, and whether I'm ready or not, summer is here. I'm not really ready, but I'm okay with that.
There are no grand plans for the summer. There is an epic roadtrip in our future, and after that, we'll probably be chillin' at the pool. When we're not at the library. We're going to see a few plays--I may even drag them to a Shakespeare festival. There will be the 4-H fair in August.
This summer seems like it's going to be shorter--they go back on August 30. We're going to soak in as much fun as we can.

Congrats on the last day of school! cannot wait to hear where you are heading. We have been out for nearly two weeks and have spent lots of time chillin by the pool. Your dresden plates look awesome - i want to try these too. Enjoy your weekend!
Good luck soaking up summer! As the kids get older and head off to college, summer gets even more shortened. Enjoy!
Hope your summer is filled to the brim with all things wonderful...your two kiddos look ready to take it on! Maybe we can find some time to hook up for coffee and some yarn shopping.....

I'd say that sounds like a full summer. We're still schooling somewhat (lighter homeschool schedule during the summer). It gives them something to do & keeps up skills.
