February Lady Sweater

Ah, the February Lady...I cast on for this over a year ago.  Then I stopped because the color I was using was truly nauseating.  Don't knit a sweater that you know you will never wear.  Even if, like me, you may have two cones of "apple green" cotton yarn--that actually looked nice and apple-y at the Peaches and Cream website but in real life is more acid-electric-neon green.  Save those 1600 yards of cotton for dishcloths.

So I tried again.  This time, in a lovely Robin's Egg Blue.

I cast on on March 28.  Bound off on April 26.  I pretty much only worked on this during the evenings.  It kept me company at a couple of dance classes, but I really didn't work on it obsessively.

I think the sleeves are a little longer than I would have liked, but that's okay.  I do love the color.

I'm glad I finally made this.

So pretty Meg!

I cast on for this sweater (in a very similar color) a few months ago. The yoke went very quickly but I made a few mistakes on the first few rows of the lace and it slowed me down. Does that ever happen to you? You make, maybe, one too many mistakes and can't motivate to go any further? It's not that it's a difficult pattern - it's just like bad karma. But seeing yours on you so so pretty might just be the kick in the behind I need to pick it back up. Thanks!

Looks great Meg! You're one fast knitter!! And yet still mine sits waiting to be blocked! note to self-stop procrastinating about that!

You nailed it with this one -- love the color and the pattern. Now, on to the next project, right?

Oh, it's beautiful on you! the color is perfect for spring and i love the buttons. i'm almost done with my shrug - one row at a time is not good for finishing a project.

the color is just perfect on you and perfect for spring. I've been wanting to do one without sleeves for the warmer months and it's so nice to see yours in the cotton fleece....that would be perfect for spring and summer. Wonderful job!

It is lovely for you! I am a tad jealous! I started the FLS and couldn't finish. I turned the yarn into another project that I just finally took a picture of. Yours is lovely!
