Finding balance

I was dressed to go to the gym this morning. Then I poured my cup of coffee and logged on to the computer. Then an hour and a half disappeared.

There's my problem.

I'm on this computer too damn much.

I didn't get to the gym today. Again. And now that my membership is unfrozen, I'm getting charged again for not going to the gym.

I am going to have to rethink my whole morning routine because I need to get back into the routine of breaking a sweat at the gym (hot flashes don't count). That means--and this is the part I dread--I'll have to give up my morning blog-reading ritual. Not give up entirely, just move it to another part of the day--like snack time when the kids are watching TV. Wish me luck.

Funny, I just came from simple mom not realizing you were one of my fellow sew connected members!

I too have a problem being on the computer first thing in the morning.

Same here. Monday I skipped my morning blog reading and actually accomplished lots! It's hard to balance, b/cI love the inspiration and sense of community checking in each day if I hold off to long to check.

Good Luck! I have similar issues . . . dishes, laundry, anything vs blogging. It's so much fun!

I linked over from Simple Mom because I saw your post title and laughed. I *just* posted about balance this morning. I should be folding laundry and washing dishes. Instead I logged on to find a recipe and ended up reading blogs. Naptime is almost over, so I'd better get cracking.

So hard to find balance between pleasure and obligation, isn't it?!
