Show and Tell

I think this season is going to be one of our more relaxed ones.  We put up our tree over the weekend.  That's a couple of weeks earlier than we usually do it, but I think it will be nice to be able to enjoy it for the month.
Knitting by the fireplace is always nice.  This winter I want to make an effort to spend more time by the fire.

And yes, you can knit a sweater in a week!  I still have to weave in the ends and block it--on this version, the neck is not laying right.  I'm hoping some aggressive blocking will help that.  Now I can get back to knitting the last three gifts.

A sweater in a week? Have you contacted the Guinness Book yet? Impressive, I must say.

Love your sweater - i need to make another one too. The collar looks great to me but if you need to reknit it I think I went up two needle sizes to make my collar looser. Love the photo of you sitting by the fire - that's number two on my list for a new house (we don't currently have a fire place) Number one is a place to comfortably eat outside - we don't have that either.

Just saw your comment on Lisa's post. To get the blurry lights photo set the app on your camera to 2.0 and focus on an object that is close by - making the tree - which is farther away out of focus. I think Lisa's photo was taken in a mirror - camera focuses on mirror which is up close - making the tree which is far away blurry. Hope this makes sense. Enjoy all this pre-holiday time!

I will think of you knitting by the fire. I am knitting a bit more this season too...a dear friend is having her first baby, so she gets a (simple) but hand-knit blanket!

Happy wintering!!
