I am back. It was...awesome, much-needed, extreme relaxation.
We talked, and talked, and laughed, and talked some more. We did not walk on the beach. We did not go shopping. We did not watch any movies. We didn't even turn on the TV. (I didn't bring any knitting.) It was exactly what I needed.
Well, we did go to the grocery store. (We needed some ice cream.)
I don't know if this selection is a "down South" thing--I'll have to check the magazine rack at Wegman's next time. |
And now, with some fantastic late-summer memories to savor, I can move ahead into this next season.

OMGosh.... I love the lounge chairs for the cells! lol! :)
My jealousy knows no bounds!! Glad it was wonderful...
Wow, talking and laughing and sitting while looking out at that view sounds amazing! So glad you were able to get some time for yourself.
So funny because I am always the one (often the only one) who wants to walk on the beach. I love walking in the wet sand along the shore. I often tell greg that when the kids are older and don't have a dozen activities to do each weekend (or are willing to walk without wining) that I will walk along the shore every chance I get.
Now that you are all rested, what are you knitting? I just started the featherweight cardi - but i'm making it a bit longer - and i may do ribbing for the collar rather than stockinette.
So glad you're back in this space again.
Welcome home, Meg. Your mini vacation activities sound simply perfect! So happy you were able to recharge and reconnect at the same time.
