Hello, friends

Another week gone by.  Another heat wave on its way.

A big thanks to SouleMama for inspiring this meal (from Alice Waters' The Art of Simple Food).  Homemade pasta without a pasta maker will wear out a knitter's wrists!

Look what popped up this week!  Time to look up squash recipes.

More sunflowers is always good.

The pole beans are climbing up just about everything.

And the Black-eyed Susans are threatening to take over.

And I'm just so tickled with the zinnias.  I'm so glad I sprinkled these seeds around this spring.

See you next week!

I just spent last evening taking pictures of my zinnias...aren't they the prettiest flowers? Love your sunflower too...what a beautiful color it is. Have a great weekend.

Your pasta looks amazing. Hope it tasted as good as the pic made it seem. And you'r flower pics are stunning. So much color. Between you and Hot Tea and Milk Chocolate blog, I am hooked on zinnias!! They WILL be planted in my beds next year!

My black-eyed Susans are taking over my garden! Those and the daisies. Love your garden shots. I agree with Dodi -- I must plant zinnias next year. Please remind me come Spring!

Love all the fun ways you are stepping out of your comfort zone. I'm doing the same and think it's easier because the kiddos are a bit older. Your garden photos here are gorgeous! Now I want to try hand rolling pasta too but we'll have to do it on the kitchen table which may be even worse for the wrists. All your cakes look yummy - can't wait to see which one you choose to enter. So nice to be back here.
