Take Me Out to the Ball Game...

Saturday we took the kids to their first major league baseball game.  It was also my first time at a Phillies' home game.

It was Youth Baseball Day--so loads and loads of little league teams were there.  The boys and girls went on a "parade" around the field before the game.

Because we had to be to the stadium so early for the parade, we got to watch the Braves take batting practice.  That was fun to watch.  For some reason (unknown to us), the Phillies did not take BP that day.

In this picture, Bobby has just realized that the crazy woman madly waving her arms around up in the cheap seats is his mother.  I was so tickled!

The hometown heroes weren't able to pull out a win on Saturday, but all the Evanses (is that even a word?) had a great time.

Hey there! Looks like a great time-so much fun! We love going to Fenway-and were able to go to a Nationals-Dodgers game when we were down in DC two weeks ago! We hope you all are well! Are you traveling north at all this summer? All our best to you all!

Love all the t-shirts you are wearing. Makes the kiddos feel at one with all the action. I'm not sure my guys could sit through an entire game - but it sure would be fun to try. Looks like you had a great weekend. Happy Mother's Day to you!

my dad went to a Phillies game last week and he was saying to us that we need to go...he says they are better than O's games (that's our hometown team, well the Orioles and the Nationals) Anyways, it sure looks like you all had a lot of fun.
