Quick Makeover

We have a huge brown couch.  It's huge.  It's brown.  We really didn't give as much thought to the couch buying process as we should have.  Mostly we were concerned with whether it would fit in the room.  I think we went with brown because it would hide stains.  I don't really remember.  But there it is.  Brown.  With all these brown throw pillows.  And a few red ones that I bought a few years ago in an effort to jazz things up.

Last Friday I went to Jo-ann's and went to town in the home dec section.  (I had a really great coupon.)  By Saturday afternoon, my favorite corner of the couch looked like this:
 Much better.

And I've been sitting in my favorite corner of the couch quietly working on a Tomten for my little man.

Love the pillows! and how wonderfully they transform your couch into spring-y goodness. Just sewed pillows for our beige couch too. we need to buy another couch (we donated our orange couches this summer when we painted everything white) and the beige one is very old.
You're almost done with the tomten - love the color you chose for your guy. Have a wonderful weekend!

those pillows are so springy and bright. They totally cheered up your corner of the couch. Yeah for you. Between you and Larissa I'm going to get the pillow making bug!

I love your couch redo. After I finish a couple projects I've got a couch that could use a good redo.

Your pillows look so fresh and spring-like. And isn't it funny how we all have our own special spots to sit. I see yours is by the lamp -- probably to do that knitting under.

Love love your pillows. I have been thinking of doing something about mine but just can't master the courage. I blame it on time ;o)

Meg!! I love your pillows and how they spring up the couch. It looks like an inviting spot to curl up! Your Tomten is the perfect color for your little man. (I'm sure it's finished by now!)
